During its development, the Profine® kit was put through a comprehensive testing procedure to simulate its use in a family home. The system was subjected to four months of intensive use, broken up by ‘holidays’ ranging from one day, to one month. The filtered water was tested multiple times using chemical, physical, and microbiological analyses to give a record of the filter’s performance. It performed flawlessly, and was been granted certification by the Institute for the Hygienic Quality of Food Equipment, in Italy.

The analysis showed the following results:

  • Where present, turbity (cloudiness) was removed.
  • The filter absorbed more than 90% of chlorine in the water.
  • No bacteria were detected, even after the ‘holiday’ breaks.
  • No P. aeruginosa contamination was detected, even after 30 day, and 60 day incubation periods.
  • After treating 10,000 litres, the cartridge was still performing at 100%.

Replacing your Profine® cartridge

1-2. Close the wear inlet valve and open the tap to drain the system,

3. Turn the cartridge a 1/4 turn to the left and pull it out if the head,

4-5. Remove the cap from the new cartridge and moisten the O-rings. Insert the new cartridge firmly and twist it 1/4 turn clocking to lock,

6-7. Open the water inlet valve and allow the water to run for 5 minutes before drinking.

ALREADY 1585 FAMILIES HAVE A SOLUTION AT HOME

After the new rebuke from the European Union which requires lowering the allowable limits for arsenic in drinking water, in reality many families over the past three years have already protected their children with solutions at the point of use.

And if in the years we are now accustomed to know that the exceptions and limits of heavy metals in drinking water are too high, certainly people cannot ignore it. Thus, even if the EU continues to warn us and to open new offenses because arsenic is still too high and we put a risk the health of our children; actually we did much to find a remedy.

And though in recent years the issue of water supplies, especially in the 37 areas involved in Lazio, the question remained how to intervene to remove this heavy metal, the most immediate and cost our citizens have found themselves involved.And it is a continuous and silent movement, the one of the Italian families who have analyzed its water and tried to find a simple and economic way to protect yourself, for a total of 1,585 families involved directly or indirectly from 2011 until today.
