It’s true that the technology often has the need to be understood before being accepted by the public that, in this case, consider real water treatment systems “machines sold by fraudsters.”
Can we, however, determine what happens when from the meter, the water after travelling for kilometres, inside pipes get up to home taps? Here many problems rise and they make the final consumers believe that their home water is not good or safe, so as to pour out their purchases on the bottles or pseudo treatment systems, for example the jugs with their cartridges, when the best solution is just a specific treatment.
Think:Water is a certified company, structured and above all professional, which analyses each step, each component and it is never satisfied with the knowledge attained, because it is always looking for what you can do more about an issue so vital. In short, we are talking about water, and it is not something so trivial, it is the basis of our body and of our own lives.
Now we would like this knowledge and professionalism of Think:Water came out of the simple world of production, and entered through the commercial and installers or employee of the maintenance because the message of refined water arrives in every home and to every person and not just only to those with which I speak about water.
Often, we thinkers and researchers of the water, we who immerse our sleeves in technology, we are qualified, by public opinion, as an “rag tag army” ready to sell everything to everyone and at all costs. But no, indeed not at all.

Dalla legislazione ai sistemi di trattamento. Tutto quello che dovremmo sapere dell’acqua.

PREMESSA – Proprio in questo periodo si è avviato in ambito nazionale un importante dibattito che vede coinvolti sia soggetti istituzionali, aziende e associazioni con la consapevolezza di dovere promuovere iniziative non più procrastinabili per un uso più consapevole della risorsa acqua sia per questioni economiche che ambientali. L’accendersi dei riflettori su questo delicato argomento, vede coinvolti in prima fila anche le associazioni di categoria e consumatori e ciò contribuisce ad ampliare i termini del dibattito portando in evidenza ciò che da anni noi costruttori tra mille difficoltà e diffidenze cerchiamo di sottolineare.
Le aziende serie e consapevoli da sempre hanno sviluppato prodotti tecnologicamente sempre più evoluti, conformi alle più restrittive normative a livello europeo e proponendo noi stessi normative a tutela del consumatore finale. In questo settore si è dimostrato che quando si parla di responsabilità sociale d’impresa, parola troppo spesso genericamente usata, qui si è tradotta in fatti concreti che pongono l’Italia al vertice per qualità dei prodotti presentati e per innovazione tecnologica e rispondente ai requisiti sanitari più restrittivi. Per anni con una informazione corretta e puntuale abbiamo concorso allo sviluppo di normative sempre più stringenti in materia di costruzione e qualità dei prodotti e con rigore scientifico in piena trasparenza e con equilibrio in collaborazione con gli enti di controllo, abbiamo contribuito al perfezionamento delle leggi vigenti in materia con il solo scopo di regolamentare e disciplinare la costruzione delle apparecchiature al punto d’uso.
I nostri migliori alleati in questa lunga battaglia ideologica oggi sono i gestori degli acquedotti pubblici che nell’andare degli anni hanno elevato gli standard qualitativi sino ad essere considerati tra i migliori in Europa, mentre l’uso di acqua in bottiglia, in questi anni ha raggiunto volumi vertiginosi tali che una sola rete distributiva italiana vanta la vendita di 600 milioni di bottiglie all’anno! Lasciando irrisolti dal punto di vista solistico i problemi di fondo: sono scelte che hanno costi elevati per ogni famiglia e anche per la collettività visto l’enorme quantitativo di plastica da riciclare e il costo energetico per spostare questi volumi da una parte all’altra della penisola con emissione di enormi quantità di CO2. Pensate si è calco- lato che mettendo in fila tutti i tir adibiti al trasporto dell’acqua in un anno si avrebbe una fila che potrebbe unire Mosca a Roma!
Nonostante il DM 443/90 disciplini con precisione le grandi famiglie dei sistemi di trattamento acqua, in questo periodo sono comparsi sul mercato prodotti non sempre ben definiti generando possibili confusioni nel consumatore e su ciò che sta realmente per acquistare. Chiariamo che la parola generica di “depuratore” o “filtro” nella applicazione al punto d’uso non definiscono praticamente nulla in quanto sono enunciazione talmente generiche applicabili ad un principio fisico, perciò nel nostro caso parleremo di filtrazione fine membrana o a cartuccia che devono per definizione trattare acqua potabile. Siamo perfettamente a conoscenza che alcune aziende, disinvolte, hanno posto in vendita “caraffe filtranti” definendoli filtri quando esse sono volgarmente una manciata di resina e una manciata di carbone a tamponarne l’acidità che NON è in grado di filtrare assolutamente nulla come l’ingannevole presentazione farebbe presupporre. Detto per inciso secondo il mio modesto parere esse non rientrano assolutamente nel DM di riferimento e dati i pesanti rilasci batterici non supererebbero le analisi di laboratorio e perciò NON sono approvate per la commercializzazione secondo le leggi italiane vigenti in materia. Dato il basso costo di acquisto imperversano ormai in ogni supermercato, ma leggendo attentamente le istruzioni d’uso allegate che ne indicano i limiti, se ne intuiscono i potenziali pericoli… infatti debbono essere conservate in frigorifero, per nessuna ragione lasciate all’esterno con acqua al loro interno etc… ciò indica che il timore di possibili inquinamenti batterici è elevatissimo. In pratica esse sono assimilabili a scambiatori di ioni e quindi per questa ragione non possono essere definiti filtri perché appunto non sono in grado di garantire nessun grado di filtrazione nei confronti delle sostanze in disciolte o di rimozione di metalli pesanti, nitriti o batteri, anzi ne possono diventarne l’incubatrice se non osservate scrupolosamente le prescrizioni d’uso.
Per la legislazione italiana quando si parla di impianti trattamento acqua ad uso potabile e di rispondenza dei materiali utilizzati alle norme vigenti, vorrei sottolineare che solo una certificazione ufficiale ottenuta attraverso un organismo terzo istituzionale indipendente, nel nostro caso TIFQ, è in grado di garantire la conformità del prodotto alle normative vigenti e garantire l’esistenza di un protocollo di prova approvato dopo lunghi test in laboratorio e quindi garantendo la validazione del prodotto.
Tralasciando i filtri a cartuccia grossolani che la legge prevede essere di tipo lavabile e con un grado di filtrazione uguale o superiore ai 60 Micron definiamo le diverse tipologie “point of use” in relazione le loro capacità di affinaggio con una brevissima descrizione.
MICROFILTRAZIONE
La microfiltrazione prevede l’uso di cartucce o membrane polimeriche in foggia di cartucce con un grado di filtrazione orientativamente compreso tra i 10 e i 0,1 Mcr La microfiltrazione consente di erogare acqua di elevata purezza e nel taglio più basso consente di trattenere i batteri che potrebbero proliferare nell’acqua o negli impianti di adduzione.

ULTRAFILTRAZIONE

Ad un livello più elevato di filtrazione ovvero più fine troviamo l’ultrafiltrazione che rappresenta il primo passo nel mondo delle membrane dove il taglio molecolare è compreso tra i 0,1 e i 0,001Mcr. Con questa finezza di filtrazione l’ultrafiltrazione è in grado di intervenire sugli ioni ossia ridurre il contenuto salino dell’acqua.
NANOFILTRAZIONE
La nano filtrazione rappresenta il passaggio intermedio tra la ultrafiltrazione e l’osmosi inversa perché con un tenore salino più elevato consente di rigettare circa il 50% dei sali con una efficienza maggiore nei confronti degli ioni bivalenti (tra cui il Calcio e Magnesio il che riduce la durezza dell’acqua) e garantendo la pressoché totale eliminazione dei batteri e sostanze organiche. Una quota parte dell’acqua prodotta deve essere avvia- ta allo scarico per evitare la precipitazione dei sali sulla membrana.

OSMOSI INVERSA

Rappresenta al momento attuale il massimo dell’efficienza nella rimozione degli ioni dell’acqua arrivando a rimuovere anche il 95% dei Sali presenti nell’acqua e
RUBRICA in grado di ridurre sensibilmente la presenza di Nitrati e microinquinanti presenti ormai nelle acque di mezza Europa a causa del progressivo inquina- mento delle falde freatiche. Anche qui una quota parte dell’acqua prodotta deve essere avviata allo scarico per evitare la precipitazione dei Sali sulla membrana.

NUOVE TECNOLOGIE

Altre tecnologie oggi si stanno affacciando sul mercato, che non tratteremo in questa sede perché al momento non rappresentano in modo significativo un installato e le citeremo solo per indicarle:
– elettrodeionizzazione anionicacationica che prevede l’utilizzo di speciali membrane del tipo usa e getta alimentate con corrente elettrica in combinazione con filtri.
– elettrodeionizzazione capacitativa che prevede l’utilizzo di semplici membrane autopulenti alimentate a bassa tensione in grado di abbattere anche la carica batterica ed eliminare i cloro composti.
